Karen
February 12th, 2012
We lost Karen at 4:00 am this morning. The Service is Wednesday at 10:00am First Baptist Church Cushing. In lieu of flowers you may give a gift in memory of Karen to: First Baptist Church building fund, Judith Karman Hospice, or Relay For Life. The community support has been overwhelming and much appreciated. Thanks for being a part of this journey with the Baker family.

My heart is heavy for the Baker family. The legacy she left for you is tremendous! How fitting that she would go home on the Lord’s Day. Sending prayers of strength and comfort to you all today, and in the days ahead.

Her new journey is just beginning. What a joy ( if there is any in a situation like this)for us to know that eternity is endless- we shall be together forever and ever.
My heart is so so heavy, I can’t imagine the depth of sorrow in yours.
She has her brand new body. She is dancing before our Lord and with her mama. Please know I am praying for the family. You are in my heart.

We were all so blessed by knowing Karen and especially by being a part of these last three + years. Our hearts are broken for you all even though we prayed Jesus would call her out of the suffering. We will continue standing with you as our Father carries through the days ahead. Thank you, Doug, for letting us all in on the journey.

Doug & Kids, Karen ran a tough race and has claimed the prize we all should long for as Christians. Just know that you are loved by lots of people.

This was given to me many years ago
If Tears
If tears could build a stairway
And memories were a lane
We would walk right up to Heaven
And bring you back again
No farewell words were spoken
No time to say goodbye
You were gone before we knew it
And only God knows why
Our hearts will ache in sadness
And secret tears will flow
What it meant to lose you
No one will ever know
But we know you would want us
To mourn for you no more but
To remember all the happy times
Life still has much in store
Since you’ll never be forgotten
We pledge to you today
A hallowed place within our hearts
Is where you’ll always stay

“When you come to the edge of all the light you know and are about to step into the darkness of the unknown. Faith is knowing that one of two things will happen. There will be solid ground to stand on or you will be taught to fly”
Thank you for sharing your personal journey. Karen taught us about love, about family, and about faith. I will always remember her smile and the kindness that radiated from her.
